The garden is growing and developing every week, garden members have been working with coordinators, as trainee coordinators. We now have a rota, and task list that gets done.
Today Sarah and Ali were leading the day, theres was lots of weeding from Anusha, Akin, Neisha and Najma, Charles took the task of clearing the front fence space, Sherifat, Mary, Yasser and Sarah helped with that, Ali led, with Hagos’s help on spreading stones over the entrance to the poly tunnel and sprucing it up.
It looks fantastic. Proper nice job. Wish we had taken photographs!
Charles updated everyone on the BVT garden visiting, and our interaction with the local community. He recruited volunteers for networking and drumming up interest in our open day on the 19th August.
We had a brief discussion about buying bike tools and developing the Bike Big Lottery Project, we have one bike waiting to be fixed, people wanting bikes and need to prepare to showcase our skills at the open day.
I was reminded about the coming holidays and am going to get reminded again to book that up before its too late.
People pulling together is inspiring and makes the garden what it is.
